Acrylic Mediums 101

  • The Art House Cafe 555 Somerset Street West Ottawa, ON, K1R Canada (map)

Confused by the vast array of acrylic mediums? Unsure which to use or how to use them to get the look you want?
This workshop will demystify all those seemingly identical jars of white goop, and give you a clear outline of what all these acrylic mediums can do for you so you can confidently use them in your work.
Try out the huge line of gels and mediums, and learn how to use them to create texture, make luminous color, change your paint's sheen/viscosity and extend your paints to save money. Explore molding pastes and grounds, and learn how to use them to create textured, unique painting surfaces and surfaces suitable for mixed media. From the marble-smooth Molding Paste to the honey-like drip of the Clear Tar Gel, learn what to use to get the look you’re going for.
Cost: $85, all materials included – including product literature and samples to take home.
